Following the Israeli ‘Grapes of Wrath’ operation in Lebanon, AMAR undertook an emergency medical mission in southern Lebanon in 1996, involving a mobile clinic and a medical team. A full nurse-training programme, in partnership with WHO, in the formerly occupied territories started in September 2002.
