Care
AMAR operates 7 health clinics (5 clinics in camps and 2 larger polyclinics
outside but accessible to refugees). They are supported by laboratories
and ambulances. Medical services are supported by up to 20 medical
doctors themselves refugees and over 70 support staff. There are nearly
10,000 consultations a month and the provision of free maternal, child
health and family planning services. |

Environmental
Health
AMAR has been constantly working to improve clean water supply and
camp sanitation. Clean water has been provided for 45,000 refugees
in camps. AMAR has installed water chlorinators and complete water
supply systems. Garbage lorries and garbage containers have been provided.
AMAR is currently working on the improvement of sewers and sanitary
latrines. AMAR has also provided a sanitary market place in one camp.
But more needs to be done. |
